Techweek Chicago 2015

Our team is gearing up to attend the 5th annual Techweek Chicago June 22-28.

The event is shaping up to be the biggest one to date easily surpassing the 14,000 attendees they saw in 2014.

We’re excited to spend a week seeing the upcoming technologies, business start-ups, robots, drones and over 100 speakers.

Here are our top 6 things we’re most excited about:

1.  We’re big fans of the marketing and loyalty app, Belly, and are really looking forward to hearing Co-Founder and CTO, Craig Ulliott.

2.  As travelers, we really enjoy being able to stay connected with Gogo. We can’t wait to hear from Ash Eldifrawi, their Chief Commercial Officer.

3.  We’re looking forward to exploring The Merchandise Mart. The art deco landmark opened in 1930 and was the largest building in the world at the time designed to be a “city within a city” with 4,000,000 square feet of floor space!  The Mart was modernized in the late 1950s, but maintained it’s own zip code until 2008.

4.  Among many great breweries in Chicago, the Goose Island Brewery is only an 11-minute car ride from the Merchandise Mart.

5.  If you can’t make it to Chicago, BigMarker, the platform for learning and sharing through web conferences, will be streaming Techweek sessions for free on Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26.

6.  When joining virtually, you will hear conversations led by influential leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators including Chris Curtin (CMO of Visa), Rishi Shah (Founder of ContextMedia), Kristi Ross (CEO of Dough), Tom Schenk (Chief Data officer for the City of Chicago), and Chris Taylor (GM at Uber).
