InnoVergent has been selected as a member of the Bob Scott’s VAR Stars for 2014, a group of 100 organizations honored for their accomplishments in the field of mid-market financial software.
Members of the VAR Stars were selected based on factors such growth, industry leadership and recognition, and innovation. Selection is not based on revenue and those firms chosen represent a wide range of size and many different software publishers of accounting software.
“Each year, 100 VAR Stars are picked from the best organizations that market financial software. It is always an honor to recognize those who contribute to the development of our business,” Bob Scott said.
In addition to being named to the list, InnoVergent CEO Paul Cammisa is featured on the first page of the report, which discusses the increasing presence of cloud-based technology among the Value Added Reseller community. Cited in the article is a Gartner statistic that 47 percent of mid-market companies will be in the cloud within five years. “It’s like 1999 for the next five or six years,” says Cammisa, referring to the surge in software buying that happened that year, driven by fears that the advent of the year 2000 would wreck havoc on computer systems that supposedly could not handle the date change.
Paul also notes that the secret to success is not just waiting on market demand, but in a VAR’s providing its own in-house products to differentiate itself from those selling a vendor’s financial packages.
